Yvonne Marie Hendricks

Yvonne Marie Hendricks “Sister” age 64, of Muncie, IN made her peaceful transition from earth on April 20, 2022, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

She was born to the late Robert and Odessa (DeGraffenreid) Hendricks on May 17, 1957, in Anderson, IN.

Yvonne enjoyed life and all it had to offer.  She graduated from Northside High School in Muncie, IN, in 1975 and attended Ball State University. 

Throughout her life “Sister” cared for many children and opened her home to many.  She was proud woman who offered her compassionate demeanor to all who acquired it.  Yvonne accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age while living in Anderson.  She relocated to Muncie with her parents and siblings in 1965. Yvonne enjoyed spending her summers as a child in Louisiana with her family.  She was an avid reader and collected hundreds of books.  She enjoyed listening to R&B, Blues and Gospel Music, spending time with her children and her grandkids.  Yvonne was one to say what was on her mind and was a sweetheart to many

Yvonne was preceded in death by both her loving parents Robert and Odessa Hendricks, three brothers, David Hendricks, John Hendricks and Terry Hendricks, two sisters, Denise D. Dollison and Judith Lynn Hendricks

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving children, Toshia Hendricks, (Shawn Wilson Jr.) and Alicia (Anthony) Ewing, two grandsons, Anthony Ewing II, and Ayden Ewing, three sisters, Lisa Hendricks, Andrea Hendricks all of Muncie, IN, Walter-Marie Dean of Montgomery, AL, brother, Robert Hendricks Jr. of Troy, AL, Great Aunt, Willie Mae Davis of Louisiana, with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
