Vinnie Mae Jones was born on May 11th, 1943 in Pigeon Creek, AL. She passed this life on Saturday, March 28th, 2020 peacefully at home. She was one of nine children born to Herbert McClain and Alice Ward-McClain. She attended public school in the Niagara Falls, New York School System. Vinnie retired from the United States Postal Service in 2000. After retirement, Vinnie loved to play BINGO, cook, and spend time with her family and friends. She was a faithful member of Greater Progressive Temple of Faith Church, where she served on numerous committees including the Rose Buds.
Vinnie was proceeded in death by her parents Herbert McClain and Alice Ward-McClain, her son Reginald O. Jones Jr., her husband Reginald O. Jones Sr.
Vinnie will be lovingly remembered by her children: Louis (Tonya) Perry, Yolanda Jones, Constance (Dr.Darren) Robinson, Alisa Jones, Anthony (DeEtta) Perry, Regina Jones-Perry (Kristopher), and her siblings: Patricia (George) Swanson, Dortha (Roosevelt) Swanson, Mary Alice McClain, Margaret Elsberry, James (Teresa) McClain, and her best friend Jewelean Johnson. Others that treasure her memory are her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends and other extended family members.
