ORA L. SIMONDS

APRIL 12, 1948 – AUGUST 23, 2022

Ora L. Simonds 74 entered her heavenly home on Tuesday August 23, 2022. She was born April 12, 1948, in Jackson, Mississippi to John & Catherine Campbell. Ora graduated from Anderson High School and later obtained a degree in Arts and Religion from Regent College. Ora retired from General Motors in 1998. She was a member of the UAW 662 & The Eastern Star. Ora enjoyed spending time with her 19 grand & great grandchildren. She was an avid community servant, & volunteered her time at the voting poles, and local food pantries. Some of her hobbies were traveling, mission work, gardening, baking deserts. Ora’s legacy includes her 3 children: Alan, Mary, & Coray. Grandchildren: Brittaney, Allison, Alan Jr., Brycen, Orlena, Jahmikel, Ujohn, Jaheim, Coray Jr, & Sayvi. Siblings: Lorraine, Ellen, Martha, Annie, Paul, Dorothy, Cathy, Hubert, Thomas, Dina & a host of Cousins from the Currie, Clark, & Champion families. Ora was proceeded in death by her (parents) John & Catherine Campbell, (son) Alan Hansen, (sisters) Martha Miles & Dina Marie Campbell, (brother) Paul H. Campbell.
