Maurice Alan May-Bey 58, unexpectedly departed from this life March 24, 2023.
He was born December 28, 1964, in Anderson, Indiana to Billie Joe May, Lillie Tate, and Willie Mae May. Alan resided in Anderson, where he attended Anderson Community Schools and later became a Master Barber. He loved to volunteer his services to nursing homes, hospitals, and others in the community. He liked spending time with family and friends. He was also a member of The Moorish Science Temple of America Inc.
Alan is survived by his wife of 7 years Greta May, six sons: Gregory Johnson (Jody), Anthony Johnson, Clarence Johnson, Julian May Bey (Zarrina), Jacob May, Deon Love. Four daughters; LaKita Brown, Indesha May, Deborah Black (Tracy), Maurijah May. One brother; Barney R. May. Five sisters; Monique A. Jackson, Kenyatta Carter (Korey), Yolanda McCroskey (Thomas), Malaika Bell (Cameron) and Leila Moore. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Alan was proceeded in death by his parents, Billie May, Willie May and Lillie Tate. His brother; Kelvin May and Raynard May and two granddaughters; Alaysia Johnson and Xarriel May.
