Mary Lee Scott-McCloud, 97, of Anderson Indiana passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on February 9, 2026.
Mary Lee Scott-McCloud was born on April 10, 1928, in Troy, Alabama to General Mack Scott and Minnie Scott.
Mary was the loving mother of Loretta (Jon) Johnson, Marvin McCloud Jr., David McCloud, and Darrelyn McCloud Sr. She was also blessed with a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary faithfully attended Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and Church Upon the Rock.
Mary enjoyed going to bingo and cherished spending time with her family. She began her career as a nurse aide and later worked for and retired from Delco Remy a Division of General Motors.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin McCloud Sr.; her sons Marvin, David, and Darrelyn McCloud; and a host of other beloved relatives.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Darrelyn McCloud Jr., who selflessly set aside his life in New Mexico to return home and devote himself to caring for his grandmother. He held a uniquely special place in her heart, and his love, sacrifice, and dedication during this time meant more than words can express.
