Linzie Gene (Beck) Crawford

Linzie Gene (Beck) Crawford, 74, years of age departed this life on Sept. 25, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital Anderson, IN.

She was known by her middle name, Gene and was born in Meridain, MS, to the late Edward and Corrine (Overstreet) Beck on September 21, 1950.

Gene accepted Christ 23 years ago and was a faithful and active mother of New Birth Worship Center in Anderson.  She graduated from Anderson High School and worked various jobs.

Gene lived a life of always giving to people and enjoyed being the prayer ministry leader of the church.

Linzie is survived four children, Darlene (Pastor Hue) Guy, Randy Beck, Marlene Beck, all of Anderson, and Mark (Amanda) Beck of Muncie, IN, 15 grandchildren, Antonio Moore, Dargaria Williams, James Williams, Wenzel Williams, Zachary Porter, Tyeshia Beck, Randy Beck, Jr, Donnesha Beck, Seth Beck, Da’Layza Beck, De’Marcus Beck, Adam Beck, Edward James Beck, Amaria Beck, Tiffany (Remy) Green, 28 great grandchildren, two sisters, Nancy Cooper of Anderson, IN, and Lillie (Louis) Rush of Deerfield, FL. 

She was preceded in death by husband, Houston “Cat” Crawford, parents, step-mother, Lorene Beck and one grandson, J’Arius Beck.
