Jason Dewayne King Obituary
Jason Dewayne King, 48, passed away June 9, 2024. He was born November 26, 1975, to Samuel L. King, Sr. and Pearline King in Anderson, Indiana.
Jason worked for the City of Anderson and previously at Apple Call Center. He enjoyed storytelling, being an unpaid comedian that kept everyone laughing and questioning how much of his told stories were true. He also enjoyed, cooking and eating, playing basketball, baseball and football and as a kid turning double dutch rope for his big sister that always was a hit story for him to tell. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Jason was a member of Greater Saint Mark Church of God in Christ.
Jason leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Superintendent Samuel L. King, Sr. and First Lady Pearline King. Sons, Jaurrin Johnson King of Anderson, IN, Jason D. King, Jr. of Houston, TX, Jaden and Javon King of Anderson, IN and daughter Jaylin D. King of Muncie, IN. Sisters, Lisa M. King of San Antonio, TX and Elaine M. Tucker (Anthony) of Indianapolis, IN. Brothers, Samuel L. King, Jr. (Fredericka) of Hamilton, OH and Donte’ L. King (LaTisha) of Anderson, IN. Grandchildren, Chandler, Cannon and Carson King, Benzei Matthews, Jayceon Arroyo and Maternal Aunt Rosie Lee Hodges of South Holland, IL. Mothers of his children, Dujuana King and Tangenique Harvey. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.
Jason was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Tommy L. King, Sr. and Virginia King and maternal grandparents, Arthur Lewis, Sr. and Willie B. Lewis, brother Rodrick Jerome King, Tasha London-Gordon (mother of Jaylin), Misty King (mother of Jaden and Javon) and several aunts and uncles.
