James Edward ("Baby James") Williams

James Williams Obituary

Born to Willie Beatrice Morris in 1955 as the third of five children in St. Louis, MO. James spent his childhood and adolescence years there. He attended St. Louis Public Schools. After the completion of his studies he relocated to Anderson, IN to be with family who had previously migrated there. This is where he met and married Darlene Beck in 1985. Together they raised their 3 children in Anderson.

James was a hardworking man who enjoyed spending time repairing cars and motorcycles. He was a long-time employee of Delco Remy and Anderson Ford Automotive. Later in life he earned his Barber and Cosmetology license. He spent his later years cutting hair, which he enjoyed tremendously. His past times included spending quality time with his children, grandchildren, and watching movies from the 80’s and 90’s.

James leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Dargaria Williams (St. Louis, MO), son James Williams (Wife Karmany) of Ft. Worth, TX, son Wenzel Williams (Indianapolis) and brother Stanley Morris (St. Louis). Aunt, Annie Mae Goolsby, and host of friends and family including special niece LaTonya Gilbert (of TX).; seven grandchildren: Semaj Allen, Jai’Arryis Jones, Zay’Arius Riley, Ga’aige Turner, Jayvieir Williams, Jahsir Williams and Jaylah Williams.  James was preceded in death by his mother Willie B. Morris, sister Dorothy Shepard, brothers Wenzel and Sonny Morris
