Glenn Lamont Whorton

Glenn (AKA) GMoney”, was born on June 8, 1991, to Zenith Michelle Powell and Glenn L. Carpenter.  He attended Charles Tindley Middle School, Cardinal Ritter High School, and Job Corps.  As a child he enjoyed taking family trips and spending time with family. As an adult he enjoyed spending time with his two children, fishing, taking nature walks, music and he loved to eat.

G had a smile and sense of humor that would light up the room.  He turned a sad situation into laughter and gave the safest hugs.  G. worked many jobs and was last employed with McGivney Healthcare Center, in Carmel, IN.  He had a very close relationship with his grandmother Maxine Carpenter who played a huge role in his upbringing.

G. departed this life on January 5, 2025, at the age of 33 years old.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Nellie Ruth Powell, paternal grandmother, Maxine Carpenter, maternal grandfather Wade Powell Sr., paternal grandfather, Glenn Carpenter Sr., Aunt, LaRonda Wadina Powell, Uncle, Dehaven Carpenter. He leaves to cherish his memory, his two children, Dehaven Whorton and Dominica Hyatt, his parents Zenith Michelle Powell, and Glenn L. Carpenter, brothers, Rashad Whorton, Devon Powell, and Rayshawn Carpenter.  As well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many many friends.
