Eric D. Streaty

Eric Streaty, age 50 went home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2021.  He was born in Anderson, IN on May 10, 1971 to Virginia and the late Julius E. Streaty Jr..  Eric graduated from Anderson High School in 1989.  He went to school and became a traveling LPN, to assist many medical facilities throughout the state of Indiana.  Eric was a loving father, and he also had a love for sports. He played softball through his 20s and 30s. As he began playing softball, he quickly dubbed a reputation for his home run power. His son Bryce, nephew Jaysson and other kids would wait behind the outfield fence whenever Eric was up to bat because they knew a home run was on the way. Eric also excelled off the field and in the weight room as well.  He loved to constantly work out and take care of his body. At his peak, Eric was putting up 500lbs on bench press. When his weekends didn’t consist of playing softball, working out or supporting his son and nephew at their sporting events, he was supporting his Michigan Wolverines.

Eric was a kind, loving and giving soul.  His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of everyone that knew him.  He was a devoted father, a caring son, a supportive friend and an all-around good man. Rest in peace E-Dubs.

Survivors includes, Son Bryce Streaty, daughter, Donna Zagrovich, mother, Virginia Streaty, grand daughter, Aurora Jackson, Brother, Jason (Nicole) Streaty, Aunt Leah Davis, Deedra Turner, Michelle Turner, Uncle Quinn Davis, Nephew Jaysson Streaty Niece, Nya Streaty, Chris Logan, Rico Lewis, Carol Gilliam and Daniel Gilliam and close friends, Cathleen McGonigle, Steve Bert, AJ Walker, Jerry Simmons, Eric “Drex” Anderson, and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins many friends, and relatives.  Special thanks to Ollie Dixon.
