Dorothy R. Anderson

Dorothy R. G. Anderson, 93 of Anderson, IN, went home to be with the Lord on September 15, 2021.  She was born on July 12th 1928 in Swansea, SC, to the late Joseph Glover and Albertha R. Asbill.  Dorothy moved to Anderson in 1949, where she married the love of her life, Raymond B. Anderson.  Dorothy retired from Delco Remy after 25 years. 

She loved to travel and had been to many states.  In her early years, she was a seamstress and designed dresses for her to wear.  Dorothy enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities and spending time with her grandchildren. 

She is survived by her two sons, Raymond (Hilda) Glover of Anderson, IN, Johnny (Daisy) Anderson of Hemet, CA, one daughter Selena Anderson, brothers-Edward Asbill, Vern Asbill, Charles Asbill.  Dorothy had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, and loved by a host of nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and many friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and her husband of 55 years, Raymond B. Anderson, sons; Steven Anderson, Walter Anderson, Kenney Anderson, grandson Steven Anderson Jr., daughter, Cecelia Anderson, brother, Earl Asbill, and sister, Marie Gillmore.
