David L. Hayes

David Lawrence Hayes, 66, of Anderson, Indiana suddenly passed away on July 19, 2023.  He was born May 24 ,1957 to Mary E. Hayes and Dave Holt Sr.. His passing will leave a void that can never be filled. 

David was a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in the little things in life. He was known for his incredible ability to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. There was no problem too big or too small for him; he approached every challenge with determination and a positive attitude.

David was not just a provider and protector, but a confidant and friend to many. His gentle spirit and listening ear made him approachable, and he touched the lives of countless people, leaving behind an imprint on their hearts forever. 

As we gather to bid farewell to this remarkable man, we find solace in the knowledge that he will forever live on in our hearts and memories. Let us remember David for his kindness, his willingness to help, and the love he so generously gave to all who knew him. Though he may be gone, his legacy of selflessness and compassion will continue to inspire us for generations to come.

David is survived by his daughter, Nukeitra Hayes (Washington, DC); brother: Malcolm Hayes (Memphis, TN); sisters: Mattie Jean Hayes (Stafford, VA), Janette Lett (Anderson, IN), and Daisy Holt (Anderson, IN); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.  

David was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Curtis Hayes, Dave Holt Jr., two aunts and two uncles. 

In this time of grief, we come together to celebrate the life of David Lawrence Hayes. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Friends, family, and all who knew him, loved him, or were inspired by him are welcome to attend and celebrate the impact he had on our lives.
