Apostle Betty Mae Chamberlin, born January 29th,1944; to the late Leonard “Hot Pants” and late Rebecca Perry-Jordan in Lambert MS. January 29th, 1944.
Sister Betty went Home to be with the Lord on March 28th, 2023, after an extended illness. She attended Anderson High School: She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. She was ordained and happy to celebrate 40 years in the ministry.
Between Delco Remy and Guide Lamp Sister Betty had 25 years upon retirement. She was the founder and lifetime member of Chariots of Fire Church. She loved hosting revivals and fellowshipping with other Parishioners. She was a behind the scenes community activist and youth advocate. She was an Author of many inspirational mini-series inspired by God. She believed in family gatherings, prosperity, she had an overall ambition to bring everyone together. In her free time, she enjoyed playing the piano, singing, and praying for others. Oh, wait and B-I-N-G-O!
Sister Betty leaves to cherish her memories 5 children: Gloria (Stacey) Richardson, Howard (Michelle) Jones of Anderson IN, Marcell (Felicia) Chamberlin, Christopher (Tashanda) Chamberlin of Union MS. and Victoria (Brian) Walker of Muncie IN. 6 Siblings Anna Goolsby, Nancy K. Jordan, Marilyn J. (Eugene) Fuller, Doris Gordon all of Anderson, IN Ruth A. Johnson and Linda (Melvin) Draughn of Detroit, MI. 25 Grandchildren and 30 Great-Great-grandchildren, 2 God Children LaShaun Thrasher and Melameka and a host of spiritual children, nephew's, nieces and cousins. A special cousin Melvin Bush.
Sister Betty was preceded in death by her parents, 2 Daughters: Deborah Jordan and Katonya Jones; 4 Sisters and 4 Brothers.
