Thomas Elmer Ashley Jr.

Thomas Elmer Ashley (Clayton) Jr, 65, departed this life on October 1, 2021 in Anderson, IN. He was born on October 7, 1955 in Muncie, IN.
Thomas graduated with high honors from Anderson High School and then attended Purdue University before entering the Air Force in 1976 where he served for 9 years.
Thomas worked at the Delaware County Juvenile Detention Center for 7 years before becoming a dedicated worker at Borg Warner for over 20 years. Thomas was also a dedicated worker for Ivy Tech Community College before he retired. 
He leaves to cherish his memory, two children; Jasmine Ashley and Thomas Ashley; three brothers Anthony Clayton, David Clayton, and Robert (Yvonne) Clayton; five sisters Shrivonne Beard, Joyce (Earl) Strong, Elaine (Ron) White, Nina (Dontae) Shaw, and Esther Kenner; five grandchildren Channing, Nova, Skyla, Chevelle, and Zion; and a host of nieces, nephews, and  cousins. 
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; Edna Ruth Clayton, Thomas Elmer Ashley, and Elder Henry O. Clayton; wife Lovell Ashley; brother Henry Clayton; Niece Andrea Newman, and granddaughter Noell.
