Pauline Goins

Pauline Goins, 81, of Anderson, passed away peacefully after an extended illness on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at home with her family by her side. 

Born on September 4, 1942, in Anderson, Pauline was the oldest of six children born to Emmaline Goins Dixon and Willie Dixon.

She attended Anderson Community Schools.  After high school, she went to work for Delco Remy Division of General Motors and retired from Plant 20 with 30 years of service.

Pauline was a member of UAW Local 662 and an active, longtime member of the Rose of Anderson, Elks Temple Women’s Auxiliary.  A very fun-loving person, she loved being around her family and friends and they enjoyed her company, too.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Nina Dixon of Anderson and Melissa Carter of Indianapolis; brother, Brady Dixon of Anderson; sister, Beverly LeFlore Dixon of Meridian, MS; grandchildren, Stephanie Goins (John Smith), Deshonda (Norman) Churchill, Michael (Myeshia) Lloyd; 11 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Anthony Majors and grandson, Andre' Majors; brothers, Willie James Dixon, Thomas Dixon, and Johnny Dixon; and maternal grandparents, Louise London Goins and Thomas Goins.
