Obituary

Jamalee Julie Armstrong age 80 passed away on December 30, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born March 3, 1943, in Anderson, IN, where she was a life-long resident.  Jamalee attended public schools and graduated from Anderson High School in 1961 and continued her education and graduated from Ball State University with a master’s degree.  Jamalee taught at Storer Jr. High, then at IVY Tech for 19 years before retiring in 1995.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter Amy H. Walters, granddaughter BreAnne (Ben) Moorman, grandson Brody Walters, three great-grandchildren, Parker Walters, Khol Walters and Carolyn Walters, special friends, Joe (Nancy) O’Grady, Allan (Linda) Lindley and Jim (Gloria) Wilson.  The family of Jamalee would like to send special thanks to the nurses, Ariel and Jessica with Gentiva Hospice Care for caring for her. 

Sher was preceded in death by her husband James Armstrong and parents James and Mary Crowe.

Please make any donation to the Anderson Humane Society, 2219 Crystal Ave. Anderson, IN  46016.  Services were entrusted to L. C. May Funeral Services.
